Folding Hill is a boutique family owned winery in the heart of Bendigo, one of Central Otago's most acclaimed wine subregions. Surrounded by the rugged Pisa Range and overlooking Bendigo Creek, the estate has become renowned for producing exceptional estate grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from its certified organic vineyard. Just a short drive from Cromwell and Queenstown, Folding Hill offers an authentic Central Otago wine experience where outstanding wines, spectacular scenery and genuine hospitality come together.
Established by Tim and Nikki Kerruish, Folding Hill began with a simple vision of creating world class Pinot Noir from an extraordinary vineyard site. After exploring more than thirty potential locations throughout Central Otago, they chose a north facing terrace in Bendigo, planting the first vines in 2003 under the guidance of legendary viticulturist Robin Dicey. Today, the family remains deeply involved in every aspect of the estate, with the next generation continuing the winery's passion for excellence.
Every grape is hand harvested from the BioGro certified organic estate vineyard, where warm summers, free draining gravel soils and meticulous vineyard management produce fruit of exceptional quality. Folding Hill is celebrated for its elegant Central Otago Pinot Noir, while its Chardonnay has quickly established itself as one of the estate's standout wines. Traditional Old World winemaking techniques, wild fermentations and minimal intervention allow every bottle to express the distinctive character of the Bendigo landscape.
Despite its international reputation, Folding Hill has remained true to its boutique roots. Small production, low yielding vines and an unwavering commitment to quality ensure every vintage reflects the estate's philosophy of crafting wines with balance, complexity and a genuine sense of place.
