The Brennan family's connection to Gibbston began in 1994 when Dr Sir Murray Brennan established one of the region's earliest vineyards. In 2006, winemaker Sean Brennan produced the winery's first vintage, combining international winemaking experience with a passion for showcasing the remarkable potential of Central Otago. Today, every bottle reflects the family's commitment to crafting premium wines that are a true expression of this extraordinary landscape.

Situated on the eastern end of Gibbston Back Road, Brennan's vineyards span a diverse range of soils and elevations, from alluvial flats to steep, stony slopes. The higher altitude and cool climate of Gibbston create a long growing season, allowing grapes to develop exceptional intensity, elegance and natural acidity. The winery is best known for its award winning Central Otago Pinot Noir, while also producing outstanding Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Muscat, Tempranillo and Zinfandel, showcasing both traditional and innovative winemaking.
