Our Ultimate Experience is an exclusive, closed-door vineyard event personally hosted by both the vineyard owner and the owners of Latitude 45. Tarras Vineyard takes great pride in being a member of TUKU, the Māori Wine Makers Collective. This membership reflects their commitment to preserving Māori heritage while producing premium, award-winning wines that honor both tradition and innovation.
In 2009 Tarras Vineyard with their The Canyon Pinot Noir won the International
Trophy for Pinot Noir at The Decanter Asia Wine Awards (DAWA) which was co-
chaired by Jeannie Cho Lee MW and Steven Spurrier and a Gold Medal at the
international wine challenge in London.
A major achievement for Tarras Vineyard came when their Canyon Pinot Noir was selected in a blind tasting of over 600 entries, judged by Bob Campbell, to be served in Air New Zealand's Business Class in 2025. This prestigious recognition marks the second time Tarras wines have been featured, having been previously chosen in 2018.
