Terra sancta winery Bannockburn
Terra Sancta translates to “special place”. Terra Sancta is a wine estate with four vineyards and a winery based in the premium Central Otago subregion of Bannockburn. Each of the four vineyards was selected for its diversity of soils, site, and its potential contribution to a range of distinct, site-specific wines.
Previously known as Olsson’s, the vineyard is home to the first vines planted in Bannockburn in 1991. Terra Sancta is a wonderland of detail and vibrancy and each year produces delightful single vineyard Pinot Noirs such as Slapjack’s Block, Jackson’s Block or Shingle Beach to name a few. Terra Sancta also produces delicious white wines such as Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer. Unique to Terra Sancta is their release of “The Italian’ made with Italian grape varietals Barbera, Dolcetto and Lagrein.
